A superb pair of zinc, white metal and lead lanterns from the late nineteenth century. They are unusual as they are three-sided. One panel hinges open and there is a candle holder in each.
Glass has been replaced and they have been mounted on wooden and zinc triangular bases - the lanterns slide onto the supports.
Condition and wear consistent with age and use.
